FAQ for Tutor

How do I register for a Tuition Tutor?

You may register as a tuition teacher by taking 1-2 minutes to Sign Up from portal. Or alternatively, you may contact us or email for assistance.

Do I have to pay any extra fees?

Tutors are required to pay Your Education Success (YES) 50% of the first month’s lesson fees as commission while applying for the matched job for tuition fees that have been arranged and conducted.

Is there a minimum commitment for Tutors?

At YES, unless otherwise specified, tutors are expected to commit to teaching tuition for at least three months. Please contact us again if you have any questions about this pledge; we will address each one individually. Tutors will be removed from consideration for future assignments if they consistently miss the minimum commitment duration.

How do I receive tuition assignments?

From our Tutor platform you it will notify you an assignment has been matched to you. If you would like to receive the latest updates on tuition assignments, please kindly register as our tutor with us. System priority will be given toward tutors who are responsive, well-conducted and have a good record history with us.

Are there rules for postponement/cancellation of lesson?

We understand that from time-to-time, a postponement or cancellation of lessons may be required by either party and this will be handled by a case-to-case basis.

In the case of the tutor, lessons postponed or cancelled are to be accompanied by a legitimate reason, preferably with medical proof if you are sick. Lessons which are postponed or cancelled without a legitimate reason will result in the tutor being blacklisted for future assignments.

In the case of the parent, a postponement or cancellation of the 1st lesson should be notified at least 4 hours in advance. In the event whereby this is not fulfilled, the client will be liable to pay 50% of the 1st lesson fee in compensation for the tutor’s time and transport fees. After the 1st lesson, it is the tutor’s responsibility to make aware to the client of his/her own cancellation terms. Any settlement of last-minute cancellations from the 2nd lesson onwards will be dealt between the client and tutor directly.

In the case whereby a tutor decides to cancel the assignment completely without a valid or legitimate reason, he/she may not be entitled to any tuition fees for the lessons conducted. YES reserves the right to bill the tutor for 50% of the total lesson fees as its rightful share for the matching service provided. This will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, and any decision made by YES on the outcome of the case is final.
